Thomas Lakey a.k.a. Captain Shaw resides in the Wilmington area near Carolina Beach. He has been a drift wood sculptor and a charter captain for 16 years and counting. His art has even been featured in our State magazine. He moved to Wilmington when he was 17 years old and received a marine technology degree from cape fear community college. He and his wife Jacqueline enjoy gardening, disc golfing, fishing and diving. Shaw really got a kick out of working on the set of the film Moss and being their captain and keeping them safe.
